FællesGro is a visionary community-supported agriculture (CSA) association. Our driving goal is to supply the city of Copenhagen with freshly harvested organic fruit and vegetables while supporting small regional farmers in the Zealand area.

The FællesGro team have already invested several years increasing access to organic and sustainable food in the city. The seeds that were to become FællesGro, were already planted back in 2014 by Kristian, Livia and Sofie in Østerbro when they started one of the first rooftop gardens in Copenhagen called ØsterGRO. ØsterGRO roof farm also started as a CSA and supplied produce for members, initially with the collaboration of Amager farm Seerupgaard and later Stensbølgård. This partnership has matured to the point that ØsterGRO is presently able to distribute fresh, organic vegetables to the association's 40 members. During the season, the roof garden is maintained by a core team along with the generous help of many volunteers who drop in every Wednesday.

In 2017, Gro Spiseri restaurant was opened to the public. Nestled within the abundant roof top garden of ØsterGRO, this award nominated restaruant offers gourmet meals Thursday to Monday. Set in ØsterGRO’s cozy greenhouse, Gro Spiseri offers atmospheric meals with delicious food and drinks made from organic ingredients.

With the experience gained from ØsterGRO, along with the desire to spread the knowledge of community-supported agriculture, we started FællesGro in 2018.

FællesGRO’s mission is to connect Copenhageners back to their food. By allowing both to understand and experience where and how their food is produced and who is producing it for them. FællesGRO has started a dialogue that encompasses producer, soil conditions and seasonal availability which can help improve our food systems. This is the work that must ensure sustainable food production now and in the future.

Livia

Livia is a former architecture student, but after experiencing the joy of growing vegetables in the city; she changed course and is now fully immersed in manifesting her vision of a sustainable and organic future.

Livia is an energy bomb without equal! She loves to talk about organic farming and to connect people with the natural processes that underlie the production of healthy vital food systems. Livia may not be very big, but she packs a mighty punch and can work harder than anyone. You may not think so, but it's true!

Kristian

Kristian has a degree in landscape architecture from the University of Copenhagen with a bachelor's degree from the Forest and Landscape School in Nødebo.

He is a fiery soul who can not help but start new projects because that is so close to his heart. He is handy and can fix everything! Kristian has a love for trees and also has a arborist company, but instead of cutting down trees, he always tries to persuade his customers to preserve their beautiful trees.

Steffen

Steffen has a master's degree in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen and is the newest man on the team.

He has a fantastic drive and with a past career in the Ministry of the Environment and Food is the man with a strong organizational overview. Steffen was born and raised on a farm outside Viborg and has always worked with the environment and food, first in the state then in practice. When Steffen is not working to promote organics, he loves to perform on stage and do the fandango.
